Two & a half-hours South of Manila is the quaint & historic Villa Escudero. This is an actual coconut plantation set amidst a pastoral grove of coconut palms, verdant fields and mountains to bring one back to the days of the old plantation life. Highlights of the tour are the visit to the museum of historic, religious, pre-Hispanic & World War II artifacts. Carabao-drawn cart transport to man-made waterfalls where lunch is served on tables set over a flowing stream. Then it’s off to the pools for a refreshing cool swim. This tour takes you southwards, to the old town of Pagsanjan. After lunch at a resort, transfer to a dugout canoe for the trip to the falls. As your boatman starts rowing upstream the sight of lush greenery & towering cliffs unfolds before you. The first fall is 20 mins away. At the second, main fall (another 25 mins further, not reachable at high water), the water comes from 70 ft above. You may opt to swim or ride a bamboo raft (minimal additional fee applies on personal account) that will take you underneath the waterfall. Your trip downstream is an exciting experience as you “shoot the rapids"! Your boatman will skillfully manouver the boat between the rocks & boulders until you reach the calm river of Pagsanjan. |

This guided tour explores the historic island of Corregidor. Located 25 miles West of Manila, Corregidor Island serves as one of the most vital harbor defense of Manila during the war. Some of the points of interest included are the various gun batteries, Mile Long Barracks, Pacific War Memorial, and the famous Malinta Tunnel where guests experience the Light- and Sounds Multi-vision Show. From Manila, guests will board luxurious 150-seater 25 knots ferryboat, which will bring them to the island in just an hour. Upon arrival, visitors will board to the pre-war type streetcars called “tramvias” that will tour them around the island fortress. |
